Description : We are looking for a Senior Researcher experienced in the formulation, anufacture, application and testing of Food Packaging coatings, to join our team in Vilafranca del Penedès
Main objectives : ➢ Plan and organize work on a daily and weekly basis with oversight from senior team members ➢ Formulate, prepare, apply and test the mechanical and chemical properties of coatings using established test methods and prcedures to complete Laboratory Work Requests (LWRs) within agreed timescale ➢ Carry out programs of work in support of new product development projects following the StageGate process within agreed timescales ➢ Usedesign of experiments methodology where appropriate ➢ Record all results in an accurate and clear manner ➢Contribute to AkzoNaobel’s commitent to HSE excellence
➢ Share results with other internal teams and regional R&D teams via team meetings, project reviews, etc
Requirement : ➢ 5-10 years of relevant experience in Laboratory roles ➢ Master’s or PHD level education ➢ High level of english and Spanish. Other languages are a plus ➢ Experience in industrial companies or coatings/painindustries ➢ Experience in UV Technology would be valued
➢ Knowledge of polymer chemistry, principes and practice is highly valued ➢ Experience in the use of statistical experimental design is highly valued
